New Ink Excitement

Well, I am finally going to cover up that old mess on my back. It's a crappy tattoo I had done when I was a mere 16 and refused to listen to reason. Now, 8 years later, it's gonna cost me to fix. So far I have seen one drawing done. The artist is doing an original, and will give me the artwork on paper as well as my back when all is done. So far, it is a dryad. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's part tree, part woman, protector/sheppard of the forest. Alot prettier than the Ents in Lord of the Rings. I dont have an appointment set yet, nor do I have a cost, but I'm still excited! To describe it, I guess would be like this: picture a woman, naked, crouching in profile; her hair runs down her back; this woman makes up the right side of the tree trunk. Ab0ve which is branches and foliage. In the (distant) future, when I have children, I may get fairies or something (flowers, maybe?) added... one per child, colours to match birthstone... something like that.

meh, no title

hello all
just thought i'd add a few lines. practicum is going better and better, and i still love the fact that i get to work on the ambulance. had some great hot calls this last tour, and i'm looking forward to more. the experience i am gaining is amazing!! and it's a great feeling when i can make somebody feel even slightly better than when i show up at their house/etc in the ambulance... truly undescribable.
also, for those of you who are interested in punk shows, Hanson Brothers (from Victoria, BC, not the faggy little brothers who did MMMmbop shit) will be playing in western canada in April. email me for more info if you're interested.

anal probes are no fun

so it sounds like everything looked normal on my probes (they also did a gastroscopy). didn't know they were doing both ends until i was there in the morning. the doc took some biopsies, but nothing was unusual. i get my results in april.

i dont remember much, for which i am really grateful, except for choking and gagging on the gastroscope, and a bit of pain in my intestines later on. as for recovery, i feel surprisingly well, and yet bruised at the same time. overall, good! lol.

the power of editing

well, now that i am over my technical difficulties, i have also learned how to clean my blog with editing. since i had so many things posted from testing and other problems, i went and cleaned it up. what do you all think?

hm. well, i guess the computer is smarter than i thought. i had tried many test pages, as u can see, and finally, two days later, there they are! lol. well, at least i find it amusing.

life update

well, i have a blog now, so i may as well write something.
i'm 24 yrs old, married to terry (29yrs old) for 3 years this summer. graduated from John Barsby secondary school in Nanaimo, BC. most of my family resides in BC. Terry and I have been in the prairies for 5 years now, and we cant wait to go back north to trees and mountains.
I am in my 3rd year of the paramedic degree, just applied for my diploma today. as long as i pass my practicum, i get to walk across the stage in may. i write my provincial exam in june.
also new: i got an anal probe today. less fun than it sounds, trust me!!
