Hey You, Let's Brew!!!

Just spent a fantastic weekend with my hubby being a punk-ass geek!
It started with a trip to Coaldale, AB. we stayed at the same place we saw the Hanson Brothers (the punk band from victoria, bc; not the queer little brothers of mmmMMmmbop). What a great show. Not to mention the opening shows were really nifty too. B. A. Johnson was the first act, a one-man act that was comedy based (Mr. Plow). very funny! then another one-man act, funny stuff too but a little more on the metal side. finally, the main opener came on. i had heard of them, but never actually listened... Married To Music was their name. very tight, vocals a bit high and hard to get used to (for most people anyways) i was instantly on the floor and moshing away!!! and then the Hansons came on. what a show!!!!! such good punk, and i was sooo bruised from the pit.
on our way to our room after the show, terry and i ran into the guitarist for Hanson bros. Tom Holliston (sp?) had a good chat. he actually knew who we were from a forum terry and i are a part of ( www.nomeanswhatever.com ). i think terry floated for the rest of the evening.
next day we went to lethbridge to see terry's uncle dennis and his wife judy, then up to red deer for the next gig. i didnt feel like driving anywhere near calgary, so we decided to circumvent it via tertiary highways... which means we finally got to go to Vulcan AB!! yes, we actually have wanted to go there for awhile, and yes, its due to the star trek geekiness that exsists in vulcan, including the big star ship next to the highway.
after that, we got into red deer, saw my uncle jim and his family. but he became a pussy and didnt come to the show with us like he originally said he would. what a bitch! anyways, the show in red deer was actually smaller than the one in coaldale, fewer people, less active people... however i still ended up crowd surfing somehow! lol.

anyways, thats about all for now.

Forward Thinking

Well, I am near the end of my practicum now. So this is bringing up many topics in my brain, like OMG NOW WHAT!!, and such. One thing I do know for sure is that I will be in Medicine Hat to the end of June. For sure. Not sure of anything else at all. I know I will be here until the end of June because I have statistics 333 from May 1st to June23rd. So obviously i can't leave in the middle of a class. Also in June is my paramedic provincial exam... or was it July. Of no matter, I'll be going to that whenever, whereever (nope, havent looked yet). As for my fourth year of my degree, it looks as though I will be able to do everything through alternative (ie. online or distance) learning. Dont know where Terry and I may move to, or when, but the idea is there. It's tempting. We also need to get a second vehicle, and I need more work, but i need a vehicle to get to work, and I need work to pay for another vehicle...ARGH!! Well, such is life. Making descions about where to go in the close future; figuring out how to get there, and if it's feasible; working to get there; and hoping it doesn't suck when you get there.

blah.
