exams

I passed my scenarios...now just waiting for written exam results for my paramedic certification.

Paperwork

Recieved my diploma in the mail:
the board of governors of this college by the virtue of the authority vested in it by the province of alberta and upon the recommendation of the faculty confers upon me, having fullfileed all the requirements of the program in Paramedic, am hereby awarded the diploma, with honours.

now, its onto my provincial exam. after passing i will be a registered EMT-P, so i can give drugs and do all kinds of crazy shit, within reason of course!
once i have THAT under my belt, there's only 6 courses remaining, and from the looks of it a bit more spread out than previous semesters so financing hopefully wont be so much of a headache this go round!

Correspondence courses

Well, thankfully, I am officially finished my Athatbasca University courses. I do not have all of my final grades as of yet, so far an A-, a B-, and a passed but pending grade (the school needs to do some archiving to get all the stuff into their computers yadda yadda.). Couldn't be happier 'cause those courses sucked, but I am DONE! Hooray!!!

went to gigs in Calgary at the HiFi and Edmonton at the Starlite. Edmonton gig way better. check out shit at www.nomeanswhatever.com you will be able to find pics and threads, all kinds of stuff. lotsa fun.

Yet another belated update!

Phew. I guess this is why I never kept a diary for long...I'm no good at keeping it up to date...lol.

So we did name the kitten, Widget. He still sounds like a wookie, but is starting to lose his 'baby-face'. Freya has learnt to love him, and Sabbath is, no surprise, still rather indifferent. Widget gets very upset if Freya goes outside and he can't see her, they're pretty much inseperable (sp??) now, lots of cuddling and playing.

Practicum is on the go now, about half way through the tours and still not a whole lot done (see my previous comment about me being a white cloud). I'll get their in the end, just need some calls to make it possible.

Terry is still working at the lcoal IGA here in Redwater. They're training him now for assistant manager, and so far so good. He says he still likes it, and he works with some great people. Redwater has been very good to us, and we still like it here. Unfortunately, with me so busy and Terry so introverted, we have yet to make many friends, and one of the ones I have (from work) is selling her house and looking to move, possibly to BC, maybe just down the highway a bit. lol. It did take us a long time to get a 'social' base in Medicine Hat, but I don't think it will be as bad here.

so, ya, that's my update. I work 4 days, then on my 4 off I go on practicum for 4 days, then back to work. Repeat. Not much time for anything too exciting. We're hoping to make a trip to the 'Hat this spring, see NoMeansNo again, as well as visit friends and family down south.

critters oh my!

well, since moving into a larger place, terry and i have been thinkin about more pets. we already have another fish tank since we got here (just goldfish, nothing fancy) so that's 4 tanks... and now we have 3 cats. on saturday i went to edmonton and picked up a little orange and white baby boy. he's 10 weeks old now, and sweet as can be. he really is the suckiest thing, rivaling freya in honey factor!
it has certainly been an interesting house the last few days as freya and sabbath get used to another cat. freya's still mad at me i think.

this is freya's reaction to the kitten. she stayed in that closet for the better part of 5 days. but she's out and about now. and still pissy.
